King Galtan was the leader of the Alien Galagala that first appeared in the TV series, Ultraman 80.

At some point in the past, King Galtan and Zamsher clashed swords in a battle, the former being considered one of the universe's greatest swordsman. While there is no winner mentioned, it was presumably a draw.

An emperor of the alien race known as Galagalas tried to invade the Land of Light until the Ultras counterattacked and killed the Galagalas' (and presumably King Galtan's son) prince. Due to this, King Galtan and the Galagalas wanted to kill Ultraman 80 and Yullian.

The king sent spaceships to shot down Yullian's UFO. They succeed but not until Yullian was rescued by UGM. After Emi Jono was given a necklace by Yullian, the King kidnapped her and tortured her mistaking Jouno for Yullian.

Once Takeshi and Yullian made it to the Galagalas' base. The King ordered to kill Jouno, the spear's sadly killing Jouno. Takeshi turned into 80 while King Galtan turned giant. They fought until 80 killed Galtan with his Succium Beam.
