The Gundam G-Self is an experimental mobile suit that makes use of the Photon Frame. The glowing lights all over its body are Photon Batteries. The G-Self can also release excess Photon energy when needed. Without any backpacks, it can fly/hover for 45 seconds within Earth's atmosphere.

A mobile suit built by Towasanga, the YG-111 is actually made according to the Rose of Hermes' blueprints belonging to House Rayhunton. Although Lorucca Biskes and Miraji Barbaros successfully built the machine perfectly according to the blueprints, even they don't fully understand all of its functions. As the YG-111 design lost to the Moran in a competition, only a single prototype exists. This prototype was used for an Earth survey mission with Raraiya Akuparl assigned as its pilot. However, the Rayhunton loyalists installed the Rayhunton Code, biological data of Rayhunton's two missing children, into the YG-111 and gave it a secret mission to locate and protect them.
