The Val Walo was a mobile armor developed by the Principality of Zeon military near the end of the One Year War. Its development history was largely unknown. It was believed to be a successor or improved variant of the MA-05 Bigro, but its form and structure also had similarities with the MAM-07 Grublo. The Val Walo was equipped with a variety of weapons, including a pair of flexible claw arms, a large mega particle cannon, a pair of anti-air beam guns, four 110mm vulcan guns, and two missile pods. Its most unique weapon was the Plasma Leader, an improved variant of the Adzam Leader used by the MAX-03 Adzam, which could disable enemies caught within its power electromagnetic field.

In U.C. 0083, former Zeon pilot Kelley Layzner secretly restored a Val Walo in his junkyard in Von Braun. Having lost his left arm during the war, he modified his unit to be controllable using only one hand. Since this unit was the only known unit to see combat, it was unclear how much it differed from the original Val Walo.
