The Assault Container can be thought of as an assault-oriented replacement of the normal Containers of the Ptolemaios, giving the ship offensive capabilities it originally lacked. It can also operate independently and can transport the Gundams and GN Arms, maintaining its fire support capabilities even in this form. The Assault Container is typically powered by GN Particles stored in a GN Condenser, but when a Gundam is on board, the unit can draw power from the Gundam's GN Drive. If the Gundam itself is damaged, CB engineers can refit the GN Drive with particle cables to power the container. The container's rear section has a hatch that opens for docking with the Gundam and GN Arms, with the latter's rear thrusters becoming part of the container's overall propulsion system afterwards.

The Assault Container's bridge has two seats and enough space to accommodate a small crew. When the GN Arms is docked, there is a mechanism to transfer the pilot from the container to the GN Arms and vice versa. Not only can the container operate in space and in the atmosphere, it is also capable of atmospheric entry and exit, eliminating the Gundam's weakness of returning to Ptolemy without a covert orbital elevator ride. For weapons, the container is armed with two GN Large Beam Cannons, two GN Beam Guns, and can fire GN Missiles from 8 launchers. It can also generate a GN Field for shielding. Though not shown, its overall combat capabilities can possibly be enhanced with Trans-Am when a Gundam is stored in it. Although the Assault Container was proven a worthy asset, only two were ever created.
