The MBF-03+P208QX DRAGOON Strike is a reconstructed version of the badly damaged GAT-X105 Strike Gundam that is equipped with a new Striker Pack, the P208QX DRAGOON Striker. The Strike was rebuilt using spare parts of the MBF-02 Strike Rouge provided by Cagalli Yula Athha, and as a result, it now has green-colored eyes like the Strike Rouge, and its model number was changed to "MBF-03". The rebuilt Strike was designed to perform like the original Strike, and although it could no longer keep up with Kira Yamato's ace piloting skills, the replacement of worn and deteriorated parts with new ones enabled the Strike itself to maintain the highest level of performance possible.

The main feature of the P208QX DRAGOON Striker is the DRAGOON System and its three wireless combat pods. The DRAGOON Striker was developed jointly by the Orb Union and the Factory at Kira's request, who noticed the effectiveness of the DRAGOON System on the ZGMF-X13A Providence Gundam. The wireless combat pods of the DRAGOON Striker are an evolved version of the Wired Gunbarrels utilized by the AQM/E-X04 Gunbarrel Striker, and to meet their high energy consumption, the DRAGOON Striker is equipped with 16 detachable battery packs, the same as those used by the GAT-X105+AQM/E-YM1 Perfect Strike Gundam. Despite the energy issues, the firepower of the DRAGOON Striker was ideal.
