The ZGMF-600AS GuAIZ Assault is a customized version of the ZGMF-600 GuAIZ piloted by Meia Shiva. As a mobile suit developer, Shiva adjusted the GuAIZ Assault herself, making it a machine that only exhibits high performance when she is the pilot. It is equipped with an Assault Shroud designed specifically for the GuAIZ, boosting its mobility and defensive capabilities. The mobile suit's main weapon is the Trishula, a beam trident developed by Shiva that also doubled as a beam gun. The GuAIZ Assault is also equipped with the Damaru, a prototype weapon based on the GENESIS superweapon that absorbs and converts the beam fired from a ranged beam weaponry into a much more powerful beam shot.

The GuAIZ Assault was the personnel mobile suit of Meia Shiva, commander of Jachin Due's first defense squad and a close associate of Patrick Zala. Following Zala's death and the ceasefire between PLANT and the Earth Alliance, Meia abandoned ZAFT and used the GuAIZ Assault in attacks to reignite the First Alliance-PLANT War.
