Based on the Alexandria-class cruiser, the Lombardia was designed to test the performance of prototype mobile suits for the Titans space force. The ship itself is considered light in terms of weapons, it makes up for this in maneuverability, being a somewhat more easy to maneuver for a ship of its size. The vessel is also equipped with high-performance sensors, made to usher the data collection of its mobile suits.

The Lombardia-class of ship was created by and used by the Titans organization during the latter days of the Gryps Conflict, designed for testing of prototype mobile suits. As far it is known, only one ship of this class was ever made, the Lombardia, named after the ship class.

During the latter portion of the conflict, it took part in the gassing of a space colony while the AEUG attempted to intercept their forces and was also in charge of retrieving Rosamia Badam and Gates Capa. The fate of the ship is unknown, either it retreated or was destroyed.
