Appears in Masato Natsumoto's manga Mobile Suit Gundam 0083 Rebellion. The storyline of this work differs from the anime, and this equipment does not appear in the anime.

It is fitted with additional armor to protect the Prototype Unit 2, which will carry out a nuclear attack. The nuclear-resistant Chobham armor uses data from the Gundam NT-1, and special protective armor has been added to protect the head monitors. All of the additional armor is painted white. It is delivered to Torrington Base in this equipment, but because it becomes dead weight on the ground, it is forcibly removed after the defense of Torrington Base.
