The Endymion Unit, commonly known as Omega Psycommu[3]was a refined and compact version of the Alpha Psycommu System, but where the Alpha-type only controlled remote weapons, the Omega-type enabled the pilot to control the mobile suit with brainwaves alone. The Omega Psycommu could further enhance the pilot's reaction times and consequently the mobile suit's performance, but it could only be activated by a pilot with strong Newtype power.

Activation of the Omega Psycommu system involved two steps: Firstly, the "psycommu system boot device/limiter", a cassette-like activation key was inserted into a dedicated slot on the right side of the cockpit; Secondly, the pilot must have strong psychowaves to interact and unlock the system. Once it was activated, the restraints that double as the head blade antenna were released, an interface for brainwave control appeared in the cockpit, and the mobile suit switched to a psycommu-controlled drive mode.

What makes the Endymion Unit unique is that it was created with OOPArts (Out-of-place artifacts, an archaeology term referring to objects that should not belong to the time period) from the other side, similar to Rose of Sharon, designed to independently create Zeknova phenomena. It displays sentience several times, including having a voice.
