Guard Diver is formed from the Emergency 4-Unit Combination of the Divers, which includes Fire Diver, Police Diver, Jet Diver and Drill Diver.

When required, the Divers can combine into Guard Diver to combat tougher enemies. His train mode is called Rescue Express , which applies the design of the SNCF TGV Sud-Est highspeed train. Compared to the other combiners of the Brave Express Team, Guard Diver's assault capabilities are rather limited as he is built primarily for rescue purposes, so he mainly supports his teammates with his rifles from afar.

Guard Diver made his first appearance in Episode 4, assisting Might Gaine in defeating Catherine Vuitton's Harmeln robot by spraying all of the metal-eating mice off from Might Gaine.

During the last battle, Guard Diver was destroyed in action when fighting against Black Noir's enormous robot army, after saving the life of a little girl, fulfilling his mission of protecting lives to the very end. Fortunately, all members of the Divers were seen being rebuilt alongside the rest of the Brave Express Team in the epilogue.
