Jet Granbird, short for Jet Combination Granbird is formed from the Jet Combination of Granbird and the Breaster Jet. In the anime, he is only referred to as "Granbird".

When necessary, Granbird will summon the Breaster Jet by sending a signal orb into the sky. The Breaster Jet will then combine and form the front skirt, chest and head armor for Granbird, thus completing Jet Granbird. This is Katori Yuutarou's main combat mecha from episodes 29 to 33 and his secondary combat mecha for the latter half of the series..

In order to combine with Jet Granbird to form Great Fighbird, however, both robots will have to ditch their support units (the Flame Breaster and Breaster Jet respectively). This is not the case with the toy however, where the Breaster machines could still serve as Great Fighbird's handheld armaments.

During Granbird's first appearance, he combined into Jet Granbird in order to quickly finish off the battle with Draias' team and stop their man-made satellite cluster from falling into Earth.
