Fighbird known as Fire Jet when uncombined with Katori, is leader of the Space Police Force, this is Fighbird's combat form when his human persona Yuutarou Katori combines with the Fire Jet. When required, Fighbird can further combine with his support craft, the Flame Breaster to form Armed Fighbird, or combine with Granbird to form Great Fighbird.l

During Fire Jet's first deployment, Katori and Kenta reached an oil well in a desert area in order to commence firefighting. Katori soon identified the monster that caused all of the destruction as one of Draias' henchmen, and proceeds to combine with Fire Jet to form Fighbird. Fighbird's strength alone wasn't enough to defeat the monster however, so he summoned in the Flame Breaster, combined into Armed FIghbird and then proceeds to dispatch the monster.
