A prototype of the Assault Dragoon (AD), a mobile assault weapon developed by FI.

This machine was created in response to the Mugen Empire's request for a "mobile weapon unique to Earth." It is equipped with a high-output generator, offers high mobility, and a "simplified input system" for piloting assistance.

After testing of the official type, "Nowruz," began, it was secretly diverted to the Resistance by anti-Empire factions within FI. The machine was then hidden in the town where Arclight Blue lived, and the Specials, upon discovering it, launched an attack, marking the beginning of the story.

The Resistance that had received the machine were annihilated by the Specials, but Arclight, caught up in the action, piloted the machine and successfully repelled the Specials. After this, the machine joined Quattro Bajeena and other anti-Empire forces and served as the core of the newly formed special forces unit, "Marchwind," surviving fierce battles until its role was ended with the rollout of its successor, the Ashcrief, around the same time as the Galactic Empire's invasion.
