Albatro Nal Eiji Asuka's beloved machine. Armas Gale's lines explain how it was seized by Eiji, who had stowed away aboard the Gresco fleet.

A versatile prototype SPT developed by Eiji's father, Ken Asuka, it is capable of various combat situations by changing its backpack. Its armor is robust, and it can withstand direct hits from enemy laser rifles to a certain extent. It is also equipped with a voice-input computer called "Rei," which allows it to act autonomously using its own thought process, even without a pilot on board. With Rei's support, it can even break through the atmosphere on its own.

Furthermore, it is the only SPT developed at the same time to be equipped with the V-MAX emergency activation system, which makes it nearly invincible when activated. However, this function is kept secret, and the authority to activate it is held by another hidden thought process called "Foron." When Foron takes control of the ship, its eyes, which are normally yellow, turn violet, exuding a sinister aura.

Although it is a high-performance machine, until the middle of the story, Eiji was too fixated on "non-killing", and it did not have many notable achievements apart from forced battles due to Foron, but since Eiji was given the authority to activate V-MAX, it has been able to demonstrate its true specs and win many fierce battles.

After being destroyed in the battle with Zakar, it was revived as New Layzner by transplanting Ray and Foron into an Earth-made SPT.
