Conceived by Lieutenant Amuro Ray, the RX-93 ν Gundam's Fin Funnels were a revolutionary all-range weapon capable of both offense and defense. However, it was pointed out that its solitary firepower was insufficient. In response, Anaheim Electronics proposed combining the Fin Funnel with the Hyper Mega Bazooka Launcher that was being considered for the RX-93-ν2. The result was the Long Range Fin Funnel.
In order to accommodate the Long Range Fin Funnel, the RX-93 itself would be modified into the RX-93ff variant. This would allow the Long Range Fin Funnel to connect directly to the Gundam's generator, similar to the MSZ-010 ΖΖ Gundam.
The RX-93ff ν Gundam is a new Gundam which is equipped with a Long-range Fin Funnel based on the RX-93 ν Gundam from the globally acclaimed 1988 movie Mobile Suit Gundam: Char's Counterattack. Tri-color markings created under the supervision of director Yoshiyuki Tomino will be applied to the statue, which will also have new gimmicks.
