While the original Methuss didn't perform well in actual combat, Anaheim Electronics still developed some mobile suits based on its design. The first was the Methuss Kai which closely resembled the Methuss and utilized the speed of its mobile armor mode by equipping it with a high mega cannon. The joints of Methuss Kai were also improved to solve the problem of the original's weak body.

Several experimental units were built and sent to Karaba on Earth.
