Rezin Schnyder is an extremely skilled and hot-headed pilot; so confident is she in her own ability that she regularly disobeys orders and simply does what she wants on the battlefield. Arrogant, sarcastic, and rude in general, she has little respect for her colleagues and makes it known: rebuking well-wishes from Nanai Miguel with a sarcastic "Oh gee, thanks a lot!", calling Gyunei Guss as a "fake Newtype", and arguing that, Newtype or not, Quess Paraya doesn't belong on the battlefield.

Rezin launches during the Battle of Fifth Luna, where she destroys the Ra Cailum's bulkhead and immobilizes Kayra Su, but is unable to finish her off when Amuro Ray arrives as Federation reinforcements. As she began to move to engage Amuro, she is instead ordered to fall back. During the second wave near the Axis asteroid, Rezin commences a solo charge to bombard the Federation front. While flying near the Ra Cailum and dealing heavy damage, she is shot down by a gun turret manned by Chan Agi.
