The Musai-class Final Production Type was a variation of the Musai-class cruiser produced near the end of the One Year War. The design was noticeably much sleeker, with the engine pods and much of the main hull taking on a sharp triangular shape with sharper angles and sharp fins on the engines, main body, and the bridge. The large vents on either side of the bridge were much larger, and the bay doors to the mobile suit hangar aft of the bridge was larger, able to store more mobile suits in a purpose built hangar rather than a converted cargo bay like in the original Musai-class.
Compared to previous versions, its cruise distance, rate of acceleration, and mobility were improved, with two large thrusters in each engine pod alongside an additional three engines on the main body. Its mega particle cannon turrets were reduced to only two, similar to the later classes of the classic Musai-class, though they had a considerably stronger output than its predecessors.[2] The Musai-class Final Production Type lacked missile launchers, likely to reduce the need to carry missiles for more storage space or to reduce the mass of the vessel.
