This formation was created in accordance with the words of Bujinzo, to bestow the power of the eight lights on Tenrei Gundam.

It is made up of a three-man ring - Buiou Gundam, Rairyu Gundam, and Gundam Gouenoh - and a five-man ring - Sinnoh Gundam, Hyaku Retsu Sho Gundam, Juha Gundam, Saiga Gundam, and Mush Tallgeese - and when Tenrei became one with Musha Godmaru, he passed through these two rings and was reborn as Kishin Daishougun Shiryuuou.

Incidentally, Shiryuuou is sometimes represented as Heaven, and the eight are each represented as Light, Thunder, Flame, Moon, Wind, Earth, Ice, and Blade, in the aforementioned order.
