In a final clash, Riku and Belial fought in both body and spirit. While doing so, Belial's memories flowed into Riku, who understood his pain and suffering. Instead of continuing the fight, in the mental realm Riku had embraced Belial, and expelled Reiblood from his soul as Belial reverted back to his Early Style form. In the end, Belial and Geed had a beam clash, though Geed's Wrecking Burst won out and destroyed Belial's body, leaving his soul trapped in the other dimension.
