Ultraman Decker is the titular Ultra Hero of the series Ultraman Decker. He came to the Earth as a mysterious light during the attack of the Spheres, and bonded with Kanata Asumi of the newly reformed GUTS-Select.

After several centuries, humanity started to expand out into space, encountering many other alien races in the process. Their progress was halted by the appearance of the Spheres, who the humans fought back against with the help of their allies, including the incarnation of Yuzare at the time, and another Ultraman. At some point, Decker Asumi gained the power of light, and was able to transform into Ultraman Decker using the Ultra D Flasher, but they were still unable to fully repel the Spheres.

The Spheres eventually reached Planet Bazdo and imprisoned it in a Sphere Barrier. While its people were still fighting back, Decker's former ally, Agams, became resentful towards humanity, blaming them and their space expansion for bringing the Spheres to their planet. This led him to create a space-time distortion system to go back to the past, bringing the Spheres with him to invade the Earth of the past to prevent the future destruction of his home world.
