Officially known as the "F-7D Spearhead Multi-Purpose Air Superiority Fighter", twin-engine VTOL aircraft uses a close-coupled delta system with canard wings in front of the cockpit. It is produced by Propulsion & Machinery Progress. The spearhead is armed with four 20mm machine guns, a weapon bay in the body, and six missiles in a drum-type launcher. It is one of the few effective weapons against MS, whose movements are greatly restricted under gravity, and it even outperforms the AMF-101 DINN in terms of speed and cruising range, though it is inferior in terms of firepower and turning ability. The spearhead later served as the basis for the FX-550 Skygrasper.
