Operated by OZ Prize, the Mercurius Suivant was designed to work in tandem with its partner, the OZ-13MSX1B-S Vayeate Suivant. Whereas the Vayeate Suivant specialized in offense, the Mercurius Suivant specialized in defense like the original Mercurius, and was armed with a small beam gun and a large AS Crash Shield. It was also equipped with a set of twenty planet defensors, which were small disc-shaped objects that generate a defensive electromagnetic field. When required, the Mercurius Suivant can be operated as an unmanned unit.
