Sekai's personality is similar to that of Domon Kasshu's. He generally calm, but he can be mostly hot-headed, impatient and carefree, something that his teammate Yuuma Kousaka disapproves and teases him about. But as the series progresses, Sekai grows not only as a skilled fighter, but as a person. The friendships he built during the series made not only him get stronger, but also more social and mostly open to the others, something that even made his friends stronger as well. A demonstration of this is when he fought against Wilfrid Kijima. Although he was the champion and Kei Karima was deeply affected by losing to him, Sekai's burning passion for Gunpla Battle kicked in, moving not only Saga Adou, but also Wilfrid and even the others around, mostly Shia Kijima. Thanks to these events both Fumina and Yuuma managed to surpass their fears and doubts, allowing them to build their new and improved Gunplas: Star Winning Gundam and the Lightning Gundam Full Burnern.
