At the time, the collaborative novel and model kit project "Gundam Sentinel" in the magazine "Model Graphics" by Dai Nippon Kaiga was still in the planning stages, and the detailed settings had not yet been finalized. Therefore, the first release was the "1/144 FA-010-B Full Armor ZZ Gundam," but it was released as a non-enhanced "1/144 ZZ Gundam" (the illustration in the instruction manual was based on the enhanced version), featuring additional armor painted white, the same as the 1/100 kit modification example by Koichi Ushikubo featured in the April 1987 issue of "Model Graphics," and equipped with a Hyper Mega Cannon. Later, the FAZZ's settings were finalized, the design was changed, and the model number became FA-010-A. Furthermore, the model number of the Full Armor ZZ Gundam in the TV anime version was changed to FA-010S to distinguish it.
There are also documents indicating that it is equipped with an I-field generation mechanism in its chest, and the instructions included with the "1/100 Master Grade Full Armor ZZ Gundam" and "FAZZ" plastic models released by Bandai in 2000 state that the Full Armor ZZ Gundam and FAZZ are equipped with the same I-field generator as the Ex-S Gundam.
