Unwavering strength. A general belonging to Cao Cao's Yan Province Guard, proud of his immense strength, he deeply respects Cao Cao and worships him as the sun. Originally a bandit, he was discovered by Cao Cao for his talent. He specializes in attacks where he transforms his entire body into a giant axe to slash at his opponents.

Despite suffering serious injuries in a battle with Hua Xiong, he shielded Cao Cao from Zhang Liao's attack and died in battle. Past anecdotes such as "He entered Cao Cao's service through Xiahou Dun's recommendation and, despite suffering life-threatening injuries all over his body, distinguished himself by protecting Cao Cao's main camp from a surprise attack by Dong Zhuo's army" are featured in Dengeki Hobby Magazine's "Sangokuden Warlord File."

In "BBW," he initially appears as a background character with no lines, and survives even after the defeat of Dong Zhuo. Afterward, he visited Zhang Xiu in Wan, who had surrendered to Cao Cao and Liu Bei's party, but was betrayed by Zhang Xiu. He sacrificed himself to protect Cao Cao and his men from a falling ceiling trap, holding it up as it collapsed. Cao Cao and his men were saved, but Dian Wei was crushed beneath it and died after seeing Cao Cao safe.

In the 'BB Senshi' version, his death became a catalyst for Liu Bei to realize his own immaturity, but in 'BBW', it became one of the causes of the rift between Liu Bei and Cao Cao.

In the kit, the included powerful gauntlets can be attached to the arms of other generals when in axe form.
