Ultraman Dyna is the protagonist of the eponymous series Ultraman Dyna. His human host is Shin Asuka, a member of Super GUTS, whom he bonded with to fight against the Spheres and other threats to the Earth.

Ultraman Dyna's name was suggested by Mai in episode 2 where the word Dyna came from the word "Dynamic" despite she said that it came from the Japanese word "love".

Asuka thrusts the Lieflasher into the air, it then unfolds and then transforms him into Dyna. In later transformations outside of the Ultraman Dyna TV series, Asuka will shout "Dyna!" before the Lieflasher snaps open.

Flash Type is Ultraman Dyna's default form, balanced between speed and strength while possessing many beam techniques to utilize.
