The first Earth-made Spazer, jointly developed by Dr. Umon and Koji Kabuto, utilizes Koji's technology, which developed the TFO and other robots. This machine served as the basis for Earth-made Spazers, and Hikaru and Maria, who later joined the Spazer team, piloted a Double Spazer in their first battle.

It was created to increase Grendizer's flight capabilities, and when combined, they can travel through the air at speeds of Mach 4.

The Double Spazer's energy source is photons, just like Grendizer's, but its armor is made of the same Chogokin New Z as Great Mazinger.

In the film "Decisive Battle! Great Sea Beast," it was categorized as one of "Japan's Four Great Robots," alongside Daizer, Great Getter G, and Mazinger.
